Uploading Sales Invoices using configuration package

Hi,

I am trying to upload a sales invoice batch using a Configuration Package that connects tables 36 and 37.

When I import the data and apply the package, I receive the following message for each sales line:

“If you change the Sell-to Customer, the existing sales lines will be deleted and new sales lines based on the new information on the header will be created. Do you want to continue?”

Is there a way to suppress this message during the import process?

Hello ,

No, the message cannot be suppressed when using Configuration Packages; it’s standard Sales Header validation logic. It appears because Sell-to Customer No. is being validated multiple times, typically when it’s included on both Sales Header (Table 36) and Sales Line (Table 37), causing BC to think the header is changing for each line. The correct and only supported way to avoid the popup is to include Sell-to Customer No. only on the Sales Header, not on Sales Lines, and ensure the processing order is Header first, Lines second, with Sales Lines containing Document Type, Document No., and Line No. This prevents the repeated validation and allows clean import of invoices with lines.

Hi,

To answer your question, No, without cudtomization you can not supress the messages

The messages are same ones which will appear if you update any field in salss invoice.

What you can do is reverify the list of fields you sre importing. Ideally not all fields in a table required to be imported as many of the fields autopopulate based on the details of other main field.

It seems that in your case system is trying to update the Sell-to customer no. As it is crucial field you need to include it in the package. It seems that this message is appearing because you already have those sales header created and now system is updating the sell to customer so you need to update and click on Yes or no as required.

While Uploading the Configuration Packages , Standard message cannot be excluded . Above message seems for Location code change or Dimension Code .

Lines are multiple hence this message will come everytime . Only possible to upload minimal feilds using configuration package or update using xmlport or edit in excel feature.

Upload Primary feilds first which have less dependancies . If possbile Dimensions later .
