We'd like to run an ROI report on our inventory. Is anyone aware of a way to do this or of an add-on product that would be able to do this?

Can you give me some additional information what type of information you want to report on/parameters?
Salespad (www.salespad.net) has an inventory analysis module and a Sales Analysis Report tool that could probably give you what you need. This would be in addition to hundreds of other great features..
Regarding Salespad, if it can pull the sale and cost numbers from the GP ledger it would be great. But we also use Trinity Pricing Enhancements which I don't believe connects with Salespad.
There is more than one calculation for Gross Margin ROI - two are below:
1) gross margin% x (sales divided by average inventory @ cost).
2) Gross profit dollars/Average Inventory Value
We also use landed cost so the "last cost" from the items cards are not correct. But the ledgers reflect the actual costs.
So I need to figure out how to pull a summarized Gross Profit for each inventory item and an average inventory cost (including landed cost) over a certain period of time.
Hope this helps.
Karen:
We pull from the SOP history tables and we have a data warehouse that allows you to slice and dice data and do comparisons.
The landed cost thing is an issue, but I honestly don't know of a way to get that at the item level.
I am going to email you a screen shot to show you a sample of the Sales Analysis report.
