Why is my inventory assembly journal entry hitting multiple COGS accounts and it is leaving a negative balance in some of those accounts. Why is assembly even hitting COGS at all

In order to assist we would need to look at your item setup, inventory posting setup and general posting setup. Based on your question it would seem that you have some setups that are incorrect.
