FA Duplicate on YTD and LTD

Hello GP Expert,

Client has process May2016 Depreciation and created GL Entry too. While posting mistakenly user closed posting window and Dynamics GP throw error and log him out from GP.

Orphan GL was created in Journal General but on Fixed Assets Books information is updated only for few items, Current Depreciation , YTD and LTD not all.  We have delete orphan GL entry.

We have try to reverse GL but it did not created. Re ran depreciation it showed correctly on FA Books for all Assets as well GL posted successfully.  But found out YTD and LTD depreciation is double with May 2016 depreciation.

How can I rectify issue?

Any help on this will be highly appreciable.

Thanks much

Boy, this is a tough one. I really don't see a way to do this without using a direct table write. I wonder if you checked the Reverse Depreciation checkbox (in the Depreciation Process window) and reversed the May 2016 depreciation, and ran the reconcile utility if that would correct the problem. I'd try that first in a test company that is a copy of your production company. If that doesn't work, I'd probably just update the FA00200 table.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Hello Leslie,

Sorry for delay in reply. We have deleted all books as well as assets information. Reverse May depreciation GL and then reimported again. All look good now.

    Much appreciate for your help.

    Thanks
