Is shipping carrier in D365FO and Carrier ID in AX2012 same?

Hi,

While upgrading from ax2012 to D365FO ,I came across a screen namely CARRIER ID in AX2012 in the floowing path (Inventory Management-->Setup-->Shipping Carrier-->CARRIER ID) ,but in the same path I was not able to find the same screen in D365 FO where as i found a screen namely "Shipping Carriers".Can some one confirm whether both the screen are same and perform same functionality.

    Hi Dawarahkesh,

    This functionality from Ax 2012 have been depreciated in D365 F & O. Reason was of duplication of functionality. It is partially replaced by Transportation management. The form which you are referring to is from transportation management. The Carrier ID is no longer present.

    as Zain mentioned, Transportation management module is the way to leverage

    in case interested in ISV products, then appsource have some

    Hi Dwarahkesh,

    The carrier ID is the type of delivery method for the shipping carriers that you use. It is the specific identifier. And it is only used for Inventory management module in ax.

    The shipping carrier form is used to set up different shipping carriers and detailed information, such as service, shipment mode, transportation tender. It also exists in ax 2012R3, which is applied to the warehouse management module.
