Hi

I am having an issue with the purchase function on Dynamics GP R2 fixed assets. When you add a new asset and click on the purchase button you cannot tick an option and then click on select until you have entered a class id. Once you enter a class id and the asset number you can then tick the assets and click on select in the purchase window. But once you click select the asset class id dissappears from the fixed assets card.

Can somebody please let me know if this is a bug or i am doing something wrong.

I have some screen shots:

Thanks

Becky

    Hello Rebecca

Allow me to correct one simple point, when adding a purchased asset on the Asset General Information window, the system will ask for an (asset id) not a (class id), the class id is not a requirement.

To justify this, when you add an asset from the POP module, you can fill in the asset details such as class, custodian, location, label id.... etc. See the screen below:

In this essence, when you click select the asset. The system will retrieve the details filled on the POP module and enter them into the asset card to override the details on the asset card.

In summary, enter the (asset id), click the "purchase" button and to select the voucher/vouchers. Then proceed with filling in the class id.

For further information about adding assets form both PM and POP are illustrated below:
