Table WebHook Subscription not available on cloud

Hello,

Me and my colleagues are creating an extension of a WebHook menu, where you can view all subscription, create, delete and update.

Because we use BC16 on-Cloud, we are having some complications.

  • We do not have access to the 'WebHook Subscription' table.

Problem: The type or method 'Webhook Subscription' cannot be used for 'Extension' development.

To get around of the problem we make an http request to get the data and store in a temporary table, but we do not like this solution.

Any suggestion?

I think this has not been enabled with SaaS for security reasons. On Premise environment are handled by partners hence they are safe to be used. If you wish to implement something similar in the future (e.g. WebHook Subscription per single app or sort of) then feel free to log this through IDEAS site Ideas (dynamics.com)

Thank you Josh for the reply!

But I need the solution to be implemented as an extension in BC.

    It's easier for the customers.

This is a good resource for understanding more about the possibilities and methods for working with web hooks: www.kauffmann.nl/.../. Another good one is here: demiliani.com/.../

From what you have described I am suspect if another option exists which is more elegant than what you currently have. You could create a different front end which is outside of BC and use power apps and just have it perform HTTP requests for you but in the guise of a normal UI.
