Hi All,

When I transfer entries from the bank reconciliation to the general journal page, the page gets ShortCutDimCode3 [Employee code] as expected, but when I try to update any of the fields of any particular line on the general journal page, ShortCutDimCode3 field value gets erased. 

With the below code's help, I have transferred the data to the general journal line.

Anyone has a solution to save a ShortCutDimCode3 field value?

    Hi,

    what is the behaviour you are expecting from the validation of ShortCutDim 3?

    If you would like to preserve whatever you are carrying over from another journal, it seems legit to leave the field untouched by code.

    Furthermore, there are some other validates in your code (Account Type and Nr) they might just overwrite whatever is in ShortCut3.

    Have you tried to debug the complete process. You might have some other code that is executed at a later stage that clear some dimension values.
