Hi,

is an update of the Commerce Scale Unit directly necessary when a new D365FO SU (Commerce HQ) is installed?

I would be very grateful for any experience reports or recommendations.

Commerce scale units are always backward compatible with the latest F&O. If your CSU is cloud-hosted, MS will take care of the updates and it is automatically done. If your CSU is self-hosted, you have to upto 12 months to match with the latest version. The same applies for other instore components like Store Commerce, HW etc.
