Load documents into SharePoint attached to CRM Entity

Hello Guys,

We would need to import automatically and massively into a Sharepoint Library integrated to a CRM online, SharePoint documents attached to a CRM entity (account for exemple). .

What would be the recommended method to that ?

Is it possible to use Dynamics SDK for that purpose ?

Is the CRM entity described in the following link SharePointDocument can help to import the document to SharePoint and create the relative SharePoint folder of the entity ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

You can't upload documents to SharePoint using the Dynamics API. Instead you will need to upload the documents using the SharePoint API or SharePoint UI.

If you need to create folders in SharePoint for CRM entities, then you will also have to use the SharePoint API. The process would be:

    • Use the SharePoint API to create the folder in SharePoint, and upload files to it
    • Use the CRM API to create the SharePointDocument record to link the CRM record to the SharePoint folder

    Hi Emmanuel,

I have done something similar but using kingswaysoft integration. Is this something you would be interested in using?

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks for the feedback.

@David : Thank you, it looks effectively a way to do it!

@Thomas : Thanks also, in fact, we already use Kinkswaysoft for our data interfaces (The Dynamics 365  Integration suite and and the productivity pack).  I have just checked their web site and I think you suggest the SharePoint data Integration Software ! This is a very interesting direction to follow. I think going to evaluate that starting tomorrow ;) I am so confused not having thought to kingswsaysoft myself knowing that I use their solutions every days ....we are sometimes blind, thanks a lot anyway.

    All the best guys,

    Emmanuel
