Mobile Number Field is locked for User Record

Mobile number field is locked for the User record when opening the record from Settings-> Security-> User.

But I am able to edit the Mobile number field when I open the same user record from Model Driven App. 

And also it's editable in On-Premise Environment. 

Why can't I edit the Mobile number in above screen?

Note: Current logged in user is a Sys Admin

    Hi Yuvaraj,

    It is by-design.

    The screenshot you provided is Legacy Web User InterfaceWhen you open the user record from Model Driven App, the interface is Unified Client Interface (UCI), which is a new user interface in Dynamics 365.

    For your question, Why can't I edit the Mobile number in above screen?

    --There is a reminder message at the top of the page:

       This user's information is managed by Office 365. To edit this information visit the User Administration section of the Office 365 Portal.

    Before, some user profile information is maintained and managed in the Office 365 Admin Center.

    After you create or update a user, these user profile fields are automatically updated and synchronized in your Dynamics 365 (online) instances.

    Now we can edit this information directly in the UCI, as the system is constantly updated. But Legacy Web User Interface still maintains the previous design.

    Thanks for your response.

    The field in the form is not locked during customization.

    The field is editable when we open the UserRecord in MDA UCI but the same field is locked when opening the user record from Advanced Settings -> Security -> User -> "User Record".
