Dear Team,

I am planning to configure IFD Configuration for Dynamics 365 to access in Mobile App and i have the below server setup.

1. Dynamics 365 in 1 -Windows Server 2012 R2

2. SQL Server in 1 - Windows Server 2012 R2

3. Active Directory in 1  Windows Server

4. ADFS in 1 Windows Server

5. We have our company domain Wildcard Certificate

The above four are in different servers but in the same domain controller.

So i want to know the below things

1. Do i need public IP for configuring IFD still if we have company domain Wildcard Certificate

2. How to configure DNS Rules based on 1st Point.

e.g: auth to be mapped with which IP like that.

Please help me on this configuration.

    Hi Venkata,

If you need your CRM to be accessible outside of your domain then you will need a public IP address (or your can configure DDNS). If all you need is internal access (within your organization) to CRM, you can set it up without an external DNS.

Follow the configuration instructions per Microsoft, and any url that you would have to specify in your external DNS, you will have to have it entered in your internal DNS.

For example if your domain is contoso.com, you will need the following entries in your DNS Server:

auth.contoso.com (authorization), disco.contoso.com (discovery), sts.contoso.com (adfs), crmservername.contoso.com (internal), crmorgname.contoso.com (external for each organization you create).

    Hope this helps.

    Dear Aric Levin,

    Thanks for your reply.

You are saying i need public IP but we have already public domain wildcard certificate.

So still i need public ip to do this.
