Power BI Finance App Will Not Connect to Production Company

Hi:

I downloaded and installed Power BI's Finance app for Business Central.

It shows data from the Cronus sample company but refuses to connect to the production company.

Granted, the production company has no transactional data in it.  But, I would think that I would receive more than a message simply saying that the refresh failed.

What did I do wrong?

Thanks!

John

You should tap on the message that appears when you open the Power BI app:Connect to your data. Located at the top of the app.

I do wonder if this has anything to do with transactions not being in the company, yet.

Below are the details of the error message.

It mentions the following: The Acc. Sched. KPI Buffer table is empty.

So, this is dependent upon either having data in the company or having an active Account Schedule in place.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

It is possible, so I think you can try to create a demo environment first. Then make sure there is no problem with Power BI.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.
