Quantity prompt like weight with Standard Item

Is there a way to have RMS prompt for a quantity like it handles a weighed item? A dialogue box defaulted to a selected 1 so that the cashier could press ok and quantity 1 would be accepted or pressing any other number would replace the defaulted 1.
