Stocking Location Limits - Works

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the use of the item limit per location.
For item X, located at location Y, I have a limitation of 288 Ud. However, when I do a movement or replenishment work, it does not ‘ignore’ this limitation. I have checked that in the ‘Location profiles’ section there is a fast tab dedicated to Replenishment and it contains a check to allow exceeding the location capacity, and I have deactivated it, but when I make new movements to this location, the jobs still allow to add more items, exceeding the limit quantity.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Jesus,

The replenishment parameters for the quantity limitation are not applicable for the item limit per location. The replenishment parameters are only applicable for replenishment processes.

    Best regards,

Hi Laurens, thank you very much for the clarification, I think I understood that part. However, how can I control that when I move items to a specific location, the location limitation is applied and not ignored?
I mean, if I, going back to the example I gave, go to the WHSLocationLimit form and add for item X in location Y a limitation of 200 for example, how can I confirm 100% that D365 will not ignore that value when there is a goods receipt for a purchase order and it has to be stored in that location or when a movement job is done to reabaster the item.
    Best regards,

    Jesus.

If a user is manually selecting to move inventory in to a location (either by an ad hoc inventory movement, by overriding a suggested put away location, or if a put away has no location), the system will not block the movement.

If the system is calculating which location to put an item in to (e.g. when creating purchase order put away work), it will not ignore your stocking limit.
