Can't get Outlook Client to work (CRM 2013 Online, Outlook 2010) => cannot authenticate credentials

Hello there,

While I was logged into the Office 365 Admin Portal, I created a new user, assigned a CRM License (Online 2013) plus a security role in CRM. I also authorized the email of the account in CRM.

Now I downloaded the CRM Outlook Client, installed it, entered the URL where I Login via the web browser. The Login Screen Pops up - I enter the Login info of my new user (Passwort has below 16 characters, no Special characters) and try to Login - but to no avail: I get the error message that my credentials are invalid which cannot be true, since I use a Password safe and have copy & pasted the Login + Password.

Now I used the troubleshoot wizard of the plugin which asks me to validate my email address and accept the license Agreement (see rc.crm.dynamics.com/.../outlook-troubleshooting.aspx) - but how would I do that? I dont have to accept anything when I Login into myurls.crmx.dynamics.com and when I try Login via portal.microsoftonline.com it tells me that it doesnt know the account.

This is all very frustrating since I have been spending hours trying to find a solution.

Any help?

Thanks,

Andreas

Okay, I admit, I was stupid. I did not select the "CRM Online" drop down but rather thought I'd have to fill in my URL- which obviously is the wrong Thing to do with CRM Online.

Thanks for listening, it works now :)

Good to know that there's a CRM Online option when you click the drop down button.

    Thank you !
