Convert Numbers to Words in Report Writer GP 10

Dear 

I am using GP 10 , and trying to use the RW_ConvertToWordsAndNumbers() in the Purchase Order report, 

i am using the following syntax and i am still getting Wrong when i am generating the report ,


Function Script( RW_ConvertToWordsAndNumbers(POP_PO.Currency ID cyPrintTotal 0 )

am i missing something ?

    Hi Abdo,

    It looks like you have an extra parenthesis.  Try this:

    FUNCTION_SCRIPT(RW_ConvertToWordsAndNumbers  cyPrintTotal  POP_PO.Currency ID  0)

    Hello

    thank you for your feedback

    i did it exactly the same as you suggested and got the below error

    "User Defined Function Failed in execution"

    any idea why ?

    Exactly which RW report are you using? Have you made any other modifications to the report? If  yes try it with a clean report.

    Another thing,

    Check the data types of the parameters you're passing to the report, as well as the calculated field itself. It should be a string.

    Here is the definition in the SDK regarding this function. You can see the data type of the parameters expected.

    Global function

    Form (If a form global):

    Category:

    Numeric Manipulation

    Description:

    Convert currency value to Words and Numbers, using descriptive terms from the Currency ID supplied.

    Prerequisites:

    none

    Parameters:

    in currency IN_Value. { Value of Currency }

    in string IN_Currency. { Currency ID of Currency - Leave Blank for Functional }

    in integer IN_Mode. { non-zero = Use Numbers and Words instead of only Words }

    Return Value:

    function returns string OUT_string.

    Thanks for your information. The function is working fine for me. But in case of billion dollar conversion the sting value not displaying after 80 digit!i have used RW_substing ,RW_Parsestring but same problem!!. Please help me..

    Mr .pragadeeswaran pramasivam,

    Thank you very much for your response.That link is good.But my problem is,while  passing Billions dollar amount through 'Orginating Document Amount ' field ,Nothing is displying After 80 digit, when I use the function RW_ConvertToWordsAndNumbers .And spliting the string by RW_substing , RW_Parsestring  not helped.!

    Please help!
