Custom fiscal year/period setup?

I need the capability to set up the forecast calendar in a 5-4-4 configuration.

Each quarter is 13 weeks.
In each quarter the first month has 5 weeks and the other two have 4 weeks
The quarter always starts on a Monday i.e Q1-2015 starts on 2014-03-31

I do not see a way to do this in Dynamics CRM. Am I missing something?

I know other companies that use 4-4-5 and 4-5-4 fiscal periods as well.

I don't think there is anywhere to setup the forecast calendar

The only place in CRM 2011 I can see to setup the fiscal Year details is

Fiscal settings can be configured by navigating to Settings-> Business Management -> Fiscal Year Settings. The following dialogue provides the options for setting values for fiscal start date, fiscal period type and various display formats.

Following are the various fields required for organization fiscal settings:

Start Date: When the fiscal year is going to start from. This date typically would mark the start of the financial year in sales organization.

Fiscal Period Template: What is the fiscal period type? Possible options are Annually, Semiannually, Quarterly, Monthly, 4- Week period. Once the start date and period type is defined the system can calculate the start and end dates of fiscal periods for various fiscal years.

Fiscal Display options help user to define the display format for various fiscal settings. For example consider the following monthly fiscal settings with Start Date as April 10. Note that we have selected the “Name Based on” value to “End Date” and “Fiscal Period” drop down has the options specific to Monthly fiscal period template.

This blog describes what the fields are and the effects of changing them.

So I am taking it that you answer is no I cannot create a 5-4-4 fiscal year.

In other words I cannot have the first month of my fiscal year contain five weeks and run from 2014-3-31 to 2014-5-4.   This is in fact the first month of our fiscal year.

Without being able to do that, I cannot map our corporate quarterly and monthly sales goals to a Dynamics CRM system.

    INVANTIX,

We are in the same boat you are. We operate on a 5-4-4 fiscal calendar and Microsoft Dynamics CRM has no fiscal period template for it.
