Hi,

I would like to create a workflow that checks the condition of the field, and if true opens a link in a separate tab to a specific URL.

As a background when we have an Opportunity with a Corporate customer we sometimes send a branded hardcopy proposal. What I want to do is create a field called 'Corp Proposal Required' that only shows when the 'Organisation Type' field is equal to 'Corporate'. If selected I want a workflow to open a new window to a URL where they can complete the request form that has already been create by our Marketing department.

Is this something that I can achieve within a Workflow?

Hi Brian,

I dont think its possible using workflow , you need to write some client side scripting logic .

This can not be achieved using OOB functionality . You need to use Client Side Javascript to do that. Let me know if I can help you further on this.

Hi,

Best way to use client side script. If you need using workflow, I will suggest to use custom workflow but still you need some client script to open link in browser.

With your help I've now been able to write some script to open a new webpage as required.
