Payment Terms - Customer Inquiry

Is there a way, without developing a bunch of VBA scripting, to get the Customer Payment Terms to appear on the Inquiry >> Customer screen.

Have a request to see more details about the customer, without ability to create new or modify existing customers.  So, my solution was to provide the user access to the Sales >> Inquiry >> Customer

However missing from that screen is the Payment Terms field and this client uses that as a way to know if it is ok to ship to client with out getting payment in advance.

Client is very price sensitive and will not spend money if the solution can be found out of the box.

How about using User Defined Fields on the Customer Maintenance? Write a simple SQL script to copy the value from the Payment Terms to the User Defined field or the user can enter it manually.

That would work, but you would probably make it a trigger, so that on the addition or change on the field it did the update tot he User Defined field.

    I like the idea.

So in the end we created a Smartlist for the client that included the Customer Shipping, Payment Terms and Courier Account and the manager (by choice) will provide this to the shipping clerk on a weekly basis.

No cost, no change to security and problem solved.
