Smartlist Access

A user who has Poweruser access is unable to view Smartlist. His profile has the relevant access, he was using the feature until yesterday.

MS Dynamics was re-installed and still nothing, not sure what to look for, have not tried recreating the profile as yet.

    What happens when the user tries to access SmartList? Does it open, but they can't view anything? Is there any error message? Can they access SmartList from another machine?

    Hi Rosemary,

    I am not sure if this is the same thing but I had a similar issue with my power user. Here is a link to the thread with the solution.

    He can't access Smartlist from another machine, there is no error message. The option is just not there.

    Interesting reading, but, I don't think it is the same scenario. I am using the profile now, I can see the Smartlist option, when I click on it, it looks like it's attempting to open, but it doesn't.

    Rosemary,

    If you hover over the Microsoft Dynamics icon on the taskbar can you see the smartlist window in the preview? If so right clicking the window and choosing maximize should bring it back on screen.

    Can the user see the smartlist window from another workstation?

    Hi Rose,

    Good to know this is worked.  I think the smartlist is using the language and unicode and if its doesnt find it wont appear.
