Schedule Board Customization

Hello Support Community,

Our business has a need to view the schedule board slots on a weekly or monthly basis. Currently there is some support to customize just the hourly view (https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/t/229311), and we are wondering if we can extend this customization somehow to the Days, Weeks, and Months views. In addition, we would like to color different resources as we have no need for the different status colors. We would also like to utilize this schedule board as the drag and drop is incredibly useful.

Question 1: Is there a way to customize the Days, Weeks and Months views like there is for Hours in the Field Service Schedule Board?

Question 2: Is there a way to add colors to different resources within the same Bookable Resource entity on the Field Service Schedule Board?

I appreciate any help with these questions.

    Hi Dita,

From what I know there is no out of the box way of configuring views for Days, Weeks and Months. I Imagine you would have to dive into the HTML and JavaScript that's included in the Field Services Solution and see if you could possibly manipulate it. But that may be more effort than its worth.

Could you expand more on Question 2. Do you wish to add individual colours to resources which will then show on the schedule board?

Yes sir. For Example, Bookable Resource A would show up red and Bookable Resource B would show up blue on the schedule board.

I don't think there is functionality for that.

It depends on how in depth you want to go. Below, the Schedule Board already colour codes the resources via pins.

As a work around maybe, you could also add a coloured image for each of the resources if you aren't using the images already.

Using the picture is a good idea; however, I have not found a way to add an image to an equipment resource. I suppose the work around is make my equipment a contact resource and use that form image?

    Hi Dita,

You add the image on the User entity, not the resource entity.
