DEVOPS Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement

I understand how devops can put unpacked solutions (dynamics 365 solutions) code (XML format) in a source control system.
But still i have difficulty to understand how c# development (custom workflow activities and plugins) and webresource will be push to the source control the way that i can automate the registration of assemblies and the inclusion of webresources in the unpacked solution code?
As far as i now the registration of the plugins and custom workflow activities will be done by using the tool plugin registration tool but it requires UI actions and i need to automate that with some powershell scripts or something equivalent.
can you help me on this or give me references ?
Thank you

I already followed this post but it only support the unpacking solution, there is no descirption about how to deal with webresource and c# customization (plugin and custom workflow activities).

should the registration of assemblies be done manually in the solution then trigger the pipeline manually or schedule it to commit the solution crm source code (xml ...) to the source control ? is there any automation i can do to publish plugins, custom workflows and webresource ?
