Serial Number Control on Tracking dimension

Dear Members,

I have activated the serial number control on tracking dimension group for serial number only, but when I am assigning same serial number for multiple items in system, it was taking same serial number for different item during purchase and inventory adjustment journal, it should be not happen.

so, requesting to all please give me the solution on this, below is the screen shot for tracking dimension group setup.

Serial number is unique in combination with item number.
