i created one record in the contact entity and the owner name is "Denial".wrote a plugin(post-operation) with post image in contact entity trigger on update message.

So what i am trying, when i change the owner like "Michael" so i want "Michael" in Post image variable but it's giving the same "Denial".

how would i get the current owner "Michael" in post image variable???

The pre image will provide you with the value of the owner before the update was made - if you want the new owner, you can look at the Target which will contain the new owner.

Alternatively if you are registering your step on the Post Operation stage - you could add a Post Image.

i am already using post image on post operation plugin also if i use another lookup field apart from owner still i am not getting updated value.

Note: i am able to get updated value of text field in a same image but not lookup

Have you tried registering your plugin on the Assign Message

Hi Gaurav,

Since you are dealing with Assigning Record from one user to another and accessing value of Owner Field, you can use Assign Message to register your plugin.

owner is a lookup field on the contact entity,i tried with the different lookup field called customer name but here again post image variable is giving previous value instead of new value.With the post image ,it should give new value...
