    Hi Monica,

There is not much a user can do with  basic license.

"A Basic license would be used by an external service or application to log into CRM or by a person logging in via the CRM Web application to access content described by the Basic license; this could include for example a Customer Service Representative or a Sales Person role."

    Hello Monica,

Please find the difference Professional and Basic licenses.

    Professional

The most comprehensive license designed for users who are engaged in end-to-end customer relationship management scenarios. Licensed users can access full sales, service, and marketing capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This license is highly recommended for CRM and extended CRM scenarios.

    Basic

This license is also designed for business analysts who require the reporting capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Finally, this license is suitable for users who are engaged in end-to-end custom application scenarios.

Basic is OK for some users e.g. if they just need to use CRM as a Contact database.

They can use reports, dashboards, charts, accounts, contacts, leads, cases, custom entities, activities, notes.

But they will not see business process flows and other sales/service processes, Unified Service Desk, Social Engagement, Marketing calendar, or be able to create workflows.

Opportunities, products and other sale-related entities, campaigns, service scheduling capabilities are also limited.

    Basic can:
