Web API and IdentityServer3: Client Credentials grant type tokens

Hello,

I intend to use IdentityServer3 (ThinkTecture) for OAuth authentication, for Dynamics 365 CRM Web API

and I would like to use the Client Credentials grant type to get the access token (.../connect/token endpoint). However, the few examples i managed to find generally use the Authorization Code or Password grant types, with Hybrid Flow... I would like to know is it possible to use an IdentityServer3 token, acquired with Client Credentials grant, for the authentication?
If it is possible, any examples would be greatly appreciated :)
Also, I would welcome any such examples for the usage of IdentityServer3 with CRM in general, regardless of authentication/grant type.
