Hi,

Why Work date in Business central (Cronus DB) is always future date. where work date needs to be current date, is there any permeant fix for this future date issue.

Hi,

In Demo company it always pick the work date from the code you cannot change it permanently, but if its production environment then once you change it will use that and show accordingly.

This is a design choice taken from Microsoft so the work date will be aligned with the demo data that is in the Cronus DB.

You can set your own work date if you go to settings.

This is the standard work date setup/configured by microsoft which is aligned with the demo data that is in the Cronus DB currently. You can change it will working, through My Setting as shown below image. but yes when login again it set to future date as DB.

But when you create a production environment, it doesn't affect you. Whatever date you use or set it would that.

Workdate in demo company is calculated based on the latest Posting date of General Ledger Entry.

Hello Manish Prasad , we have still this behavior even in the production environment. It is currently always set to 30.06.23. I can change to another work date but if I start a new session or load the site new (<CTRL> +<F5>) then it is reset to 30.06.23

@Dirk Schüller-Möller did you find resolution ? we are running into same issue in production environment NON demo company. system is defaulting work date to eg 20/dec/20026 since users posted by mistake to future date. now every time we log back in it picks that advance date. we cleared everything, restarted environment but no success. version is BC V 26.4, CA. Appreciate any ones suggestion since cases is from 2023

I was able to resolve this. on company information there is field called DEMO. if company is marked as demo= true then this behavior is valid, if you are working in non demo production LIVE environment and this is happening than make sure DEMO is marked as false on company information table. once you make changes it will revert back to picking up actual work date .thanks.
