Tracking sales stage change

Hello there,

My name is Xavier.

I am trying to work on tracking how long an Opportunity has been sitting in the current sale stage. I am wondering what column I need to add in the report that would then give me the response.  Ideally number of days since the sales stage was changed or the date when it was last changed.

Appreciate any help

    Hi Partner,

You could take follow tutorial as reference:

    https://nakedcrm.wordpress.com/2017/06/06/how-can-i-work-out-the-time-spent-in-each-stage-of-a-business-process/

The thought of this article is that you create a custom entity to store start time and end time of stage change in BPF by workflow,

and you could set your trigger entity as Opportunity Sales Process if you would like to track opportunity entity duration,

with Active Stage field change as Start when condition. (It's also a entity, and its Started On field is key field for us to track change)

It's up to you that you could take any calculation method(days etc.) to render your column when create a calculated field to store duration.

    In addition, this another article

    https://dyn365pros.com/2018/09/17/track-time-users-spend-in-the-stages-of-dynamics-365-business-process-flows/

could be a supplement of first article, it discussed some problems in article 1 and gave out solutions.

    Regards,

    Clofly
