i want to know the installation procedure of dynamics GP-2013

Depends if you are installing locally or not. But basically run gp utilities and installation is simple.

well i simply want to install dynamics gp on my laptop for practice purpose....
i don't know whether to install server client...
Zulfi, that book is available in electronic format for US $5. You can't just install GP and expect to start using it. There is a certain amount of setup you need to go through, both during the installation and after installation, for GP to work properly. Using the implementation book will save you time and make for a much more pleasant experience.

Franks suggestion for the Implementation Book is a good idea, but there is a fundamental issue that you must be clear on - there are two pieces to implement GP on a laptop for playing and one and most important is the installation configuration of the SQL Server environment.
If you don't do this right then GP will not run. If you don't have SQL experience then it is not a simple task - it can be done, but, you have to be very careful.
Simply put, you can not simply drop a CD into your computer and have GP up and running in a few minutes. If it were that simple then there would be no work for the very large number of well trained Microsoft GP Implementation specialists - of which I am one.

you are absolutely correct....i installed dynamics gp-2013 on laptop without installing sql server and it was asking me for the database to connect............
but the thing is that i dont have any partner to implement this.......The services of one IT person has been hired as part time he occasionally visits and resolve few problems of mine to the extent he knows.......else i post questions over here and get their solution..........
That person also not much willing to guide me about SQL and other installation procedures......
so in this ground i have to play alone and have to ask questions over here for their solution
zulfi, I really empathize with your situation. To be handed an application like GP with no training or guidance can be quite challenging. You and your organization would be very well served by you having some one-on-one, hands-on training by a Dynamics GP partner. The savings in time and potential error resolution down the road will more than cover the cost of training up front. I highly recommend that you convince your employer to avail you of some GP training.
