Hi,

Dear friends,

I have to manage the attendance of the students every day , can you please provide any idea how to do it in Microsoft dynamics CRM. as the attendance record of the student should be updated every day or end of the month.

Have you considered using a portal? Perhaps you can expose this entity (or a combination of a few entities) and have your contacts (students) sign in and mark that they were there. You can time stamp the change to confirm that they are there everyday...... obviously, they could lie and go on at home but it may be worth considering.

Hi Vinod,

let me know your exact requirement. Your students Sign In in CRM ? or Someone enter or Imports attendance data in CRM?

If students signing then you can use "Audit User Access". You can enable this from System Settings.

If someone enter or import attendance data in CRM then you have to create custom entity with Student Lookup (1 to Many Relationship), date field and other fields based on your requirement.

I had to do something like an attendance using silverlight.

I had to create a custom entity that has the following fields:

1) StudentId (relation to Contact or Account)

2) Course Id (relation to course entity)

3) Date

Then from my silverlight application I draw a matrix of students and days and checkboxes in between, and a save button which will do the logic of inserting in that custom entity.

Hi Vinod,

In your custom entity, create below listed fields.

1. Student Look Up

2. Attendance Status (Present / Absent )

3. Mark In Type (Default / Custom)

4. Mark In Date/Time (Default Mark In)

5. Mark Out Type (Default / Custom)

6. Mark Out Date/Time (Default Mark Out)

Export data template and start importing data in it...
