Hello devs,

http://ingenius.com/a-demonstration-of-ice-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm/

In the above link you can find that they have integrated click to dial feature. I need to develop the same feature as whenever a contact number is clicked an application should open in CRM for calling. Please shed some light on this matter.

Also in the above video they have altered the left side column in view, how is it possible to accomplish this in CRM online and onpremise?

Thank you!!!

Have a look at Lync and also Skype integration, it integrates with CRM out of the box.

    Hello Morne Wolfaardt,

I need to implement Custom click to call functionality just like skype.

I already have a external application which performs calling functionality, I just need to know how to add calling image picture next to contact numbers and when clicked it should open that application in CRM just like in the above video.

    Thank you!!!!

Use a custom ribbon button instead, launch your application via javascript(you can pick and populate the number as well)

    Hi Sreekanth,

    1. There is no supported way to add an image next to the Contact Numbers in CRM

    2. Use a new Ribbon button to implement this, say call it "Click to Call"

    3. Verify the Web Service Url for invoking the Client Calling Application. The web service documentation will give you the method which invokes the calling action.

    4. Write a JScript to invoke the Calling Client Application and pass the phone number to make the call.

    5. Upon successful calling, create a Phone Call activity and open the form for the user to enter the details.

Please revert if you need more information

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

If you're interested in a CTI solution for your integration needs, I would like to recommend checking out Tenfold. They offer features such as click to dial, automatic call logging, easy note taking and task creation, screen pops on inbound and outbound calls, new lead/contact creation when no matching records, support for cases/opportunities and advanced analytics on the back-end. You can view their list of integrations www.tenfold.com/integrations

    Hi Sreekanth P,

A click-to-dial feature really helps out a lot in terms of faster and easier dialing. have you checked out Tenfold? It's a CTI the can support CRMs including Microsoft Dynamics. It has a Click to Dial Anywhere feature, just like what you describes. Check the website at www.tenfold.com for more info.

    Hope this helps.
