I am currently running GP 2015 R2.   Can Microsoft SQL Server 2014 be updated with SP2 Cumulative Update (KB3178925) ?   and Security Update Service Pack 2 Cumulative Update (KB3194718)?

    The short answer is yes. Product compatibility with a specific version of the SQL Server database platform also includes compatibility with service packs released for said database platform.
