Security Permissions for Data Management

Hi,

I want to create a new security role that grant permission to the Data Management entity and all of its features (Duplicate Detection functions, Imports, Import templates, etc.). What security permissions need to be turned on for this?

You can configure permission on Core Records tab

Hi Megan,

You can use SiteMap editor for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to hide and show the setting and any entity based on security role.

There are a number of permissions.

Core Records - Bulk delete, Publish duplicate detection rules

Business Management - Export to Excel, Merge

Customization - Import Job

msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh547441.aspx gives you details of each privilege by tab in the security role

See msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328200.aspx for a full list of non-entity related privileges

Suggest you make this an add-on security role, so that someone has a base role (that includes the minimum requirements for any role) and then has this additional role.
