On-Premise language pack install

Posted on by 25

Hi!

We have an OnPrem installation of Business Central (Version W1 17.1), and we want to use it to show some demos to potential clients. When we try choosing a language other than English, for example French, it gets just half-translated:

We have seen that the only way of making this work is installing a version that includes French (France, Canada, Switzerland...). Is there a way to install a full language pack in a W1 version?

I found some links on the topic that seem pretty outdated (they link me to a CRM 2016 page): https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicscrm-2016/deployment-administrators-guide/hh699674(v=crm.8)

Thanks!

    Language pack have two things

    1) Translation files

    2) DLL files

    3) register the Translation by using partner translation tools

    Hi.

We have follow this way, and we have got the environement (actions and so), but not the fields labels, and others D365BC user areas in the required language we need. There is some additional instructions we can follow to get that?

    Thanks in advance.

That's exactly what I was looking for! I tried with a couple of languages and it does work. Thanks Zhu Yun :)

You can publish the language pack directly. They are saved in the installation.
    For example: Dynamics.365.BC.21531.W1.DVD\Applications\BaseApp\Source
