Hi all,

We have a client running BC On-Prem and is looking to set up a Web Shop (e-commerce) integrated with their Business Central. What are the best options out there to make this happen, considering that this is an on-prem environment? Any specific recommendations and points to look out for?

Hi

As far as I know since most of them uses Web Service (API) they should work with both on-prem and SaaS. Basically you have 2 type of e-commerce. Some with direct connector to Nav and some with 3rd party connector to Nav.

We were looking for the same solution with direct connector 2 years ago and we found the following solutions. All said they work with both on-prem and SaaS. You need to see which one works the best for you.

The newer one that I am not sure work with on-prem is cloudfy. It has a few extra functions compare to others such as CPQ, EDI. It is worth to ask them about on-prem. I think the best part with them is they have flat implementation fee.

Yep, saw it, thanks! I think we're looking into Sana more than the other solutions at the moment. By any chance, do you have any feedback/knowledge about it? Like how would an implementation work - is it something the BC partner has to do or does Sana itself gets involved?

Sana does the implementation. But you need to go to your partner then they will send you to Sana and Sana does the implementation.

I think at base you are looking for 70k-90k (license for first year + Implementation) and if any "customization" require then you are looking for T&M charge. Sana does not provide hourly charge. it is a daily charge for a full day. Keep in mind after that it is monthly charge to maintain the Sana. If you need some add-on for Sana those are extra charges.

Also, it is not a true cloud service (similar to BC SaaS). They have a brand new installation for each customer ( included in licenses ). They will manage that host for you and that is included in monthly cost.
