MES Downtime Registration – Mandatory Field Requirement

Hi Experts,
 
I have a requirement to make the downtime reason code a mandatory field during downtime registration through MES. However, after reviewing the feasibility, I found that the downtime registration form is not data source-bound, and its methods are not designed to be extended. Is there any way to achieve the same.

    Can you tell us the form name and which methods you looked at for extending? At least, you can add a table extension to validate additional data before the downtime is saved. You can also set the reason field mandatory as part of a table extension.

    Hello Andre,
     
    The form is EntAssetManufacturingExecutionRegisterProductionStop, which is not bound to a data source, so I’m unable to make the Reason Code field mandatory directly through the form. Additionally, most of the methods in this form are not hookable.
