Hi Everyone

We are in the process of purchasing more Dataverse capacity add-ons from one of the authorised Microsoft resellers to replace the current subscription we have. We will then cancel the current subscription once the new Dataverse capacity add-on purchase is assigned to our M365 admin centre. My question is will we lose functionality or data in Dataverse if we cancel the current subscription even though we have purchased more add-ons? As long as we have purchased enough capacity to cover our requirements.

Thanks Perez, we have Dynamics 365 CS licences so the base solution will be there.

Hey!

Before cancelling, ensure what you have. Dataverse Capacity (priced by GB) is an AddOn, which by definition requires some BASE License: Customer Service Enterprise, Sales Professional, etc. You SHOULDN'T remove this base solution, as this might result in the environment being removed.

Another topic would be: "Hey, I have 20 users but 50 licenses because we wanted the extra storage. We plan to reduce from 50 to 20 but purchasing the Dataverse Database Capacity", which is a different topic. Dataverse storage AddOn doesn't provide access to the apps, or usage towards different other topics (workflows, etc).
