POP - Automated Approval Email Notification

Without purchasing Requisition Manager or Workflow, is there any way to get an automatic email sent to POP approvers each time a GP purchase order is ready for approval?  Approvers will use the Purchasing Order Entry window.  

 

Is there anything in SQL that can be used?  Something that sends an email each time a SQL table is updated?

 

GP10, SP3

    You should look into Business Alerts.

    I agree with Ian, Business Alerts is a fabulous tool that is VERY underutilized. I should write something up on it.
