Dynamics Portals - Change Parent Account on Profile Page

Hi All,

I'm trying to change the relationship reference to the Parent Account on the Profile Page.

Below i found a link to hide the page all together, But I only want to change the account.

https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/mahenderpal/archive/2018/08/09/modifying-profile-page-in-dynamics-365-portal

By default the Parent Account  on the portal is displaying the Parentcustomerid on the contact entity (contact_customer_account).

I would like to change this if possible but i'm not sure with entity permission to alter as there are quite a few.

many thanks

    Hi,

You can change quite a bit around the profile page and within portals. What exactly you want?

Are you looking to add another account field there? If yes then you can update the form named"Profile Web Form" and add the required changes."

    Hi Ravi,

I had a look at the Entity Form (Parent Partner Account) which seem to contain what I am looking for. I initially though an entity permission was delegating the relationship of the Parent Account on the Profile Page but it was not the case.

we are making use of a customer entity and I was looking to use this relation rather, but it does not seem possible by the looks of it

    regards,

    Hi,

Sorry, but I am still slightly confused of what exactly you are looking for :(

    no problem :)

So on the Parent Account Page under Profile a certain Account's information is displayed...

I wanted to know where do I change the relationship or permission that determined which account is displayed...

We have a custom entity to enable the linking of a contact to multiple accounts...

I thought this was controlled by a Entity Permission which I can manipulate in some way but it doesn't seem possible...

This is using an entity form with limited option as specified previously

    kind regards

    Hi,

The parent account is the account selected on the logged in contact Company Name field. This the default behaviour which you can't change (you can recreate the whole parent account thing though). However, you can change the information displayed in the form from that account i.e. you can add remove fields. This is based on the form selected for the account entity form.

    Hope this helps.
