update autonumber generated field

Dear Communities,

There is campaign code field in campaign entity which is auto generated number enabled.

Users manually updated few records wrongly. so we need to overwrite those field(need to re generated again those records) but that field is locked field. 

Is there any way to re generated auto numbering for impacted records?

    Hi Dan,

    Unfortunately this field not available for update which means you can't update this field.

    You maybe need to consider some workaround using a custom field and show that field for some set of records based on some condition.

    Hi Dan,

    There is no way to disable it. Only possible option is to supply your own number to stop auto populating auto number which you know already.
