To cover your question, I do need to re-write the fixed asset manual in here !

How about reading the manual ? or pressing the "F1" button on any specific window in the fixed asset module.

I would be glad to answer "specific" questions.

    Have already consulted Manual

    Manual contains 176 pages ...............

Manual doesnt have real life example......only shows menus..........

so have to revert back to forum...........

    Hope you will  understand...

Normally your answers are detailed as per Frank..............so hope that wouldnt mind a lengthy question....

    Hi Zulfi,

Yes, the manual contains 176 pages for a reason. Your question isn't a quick fix answer. If you do not already have the fixed assets module configured, the question is not likely to be answered on this forum. Configuring Fixed Assets properly is not as easy as setting up a chart of accounts. As Mahmoud implied, your question is too general. You need to engage a consultant to help you with this. The Fixed Asset module needs to be set up correctly in order for Fixed Assets to work well for you. You need to know the depreciation method, because it is you that must assign it to the asset. The system does not make those decisions for you.

Trying to guilt Mahmoud and Frank into providing a detailed answer is probably not a good plan.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Any body can refer a link to move on................

Upon reply i have to write so........

As far Manual is concerned iam consulting it but when i get stuck somewhere i try to obtain the views of experts to move on......

I do belive that knowledge grows by sharing.......

However at the same time hope so that every one will continue helping to those who are in search of it.....
