Auto- Report as Finished in the released product

ReportReport

 Hi everyone,

1.Does the auto report as finished functionality work with a warehouse management setup? For instance, if there is a finished good (FG) without any physical inventory in the system, and I enable the auto report as finished option in the FG setup, the system prevents me from releasing to the warehouse and making a reservation because no physical inventory is available. is there any set up I need to do?

2.I enabled negative physical inventory, but when I attempt to post the packing slip, the system prompts me to specify a location to post the BOM journal and shows below error.

Inventory dimension Location must be specified.
I selected a location in both the header and line of the BOM, but the system still prevents me from posting the packing slip. Additionally, when I try to enter a location on the sales order line, the system doesn't allow it and displays the following error:

Dimensions location level and below cannot be specified because load lines already exist for this sales line.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any ideas or suggestions to resolve these issues.
Thanks

    Hi,
I do not think that you will be able to make it work with Warehouse Managed items; for non-WMS items, on the Warehouse Item form you can indicate default issue and receipt locations so the system would deduct and add inventory to these locations but this is not available for WMS managed items.

Can you explain what it is that you are trying to achieve? Have you looked into exploding the FG into its component's lines and releasing that Sales Order to warehouse?  Work would be created for picking the component with the price remaining for the FG's line.
