Hi Experts,
How can I restore a deleted sales order? I could see the deleted sales order via change log entries but don't know how to restore it.
There is an opened shipment yet to be posted for this order. How best can this be rectified?
Thanks
Hi, unfortunately, as mentioned by several experts, it is impossible to restore on NAV if you have not set up Archive feature and have not posted any records. Maybe you can restore the backed up database to another Instance and view that record.
Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hello,
Adding to this reply... Are you stating that you have a Posted Sales Shipment that was linked to a Sales Order but someone has deleted the Sales Order? If yes, if you have posted the Shipment then the Sales Order will not delete until the Sales Invoice is posted. I am confused how you could have deleted the Sales Order related to the Posted Shipment without Invoicing. Did a user do this or a developer?
Josh noted turning on Archive to have previous versions of the Sales Order and you can restore to a previous version. However, someone deleted the Sales Order, that has an Posted Sales Shipment and NO Posted Sales Invoice, there is not way to add back the missing Sales Order to link the document and Invoice. I would suggest opening the Posted Sales Shipment, perform the Undo Shipment and hopefully it will post. Then start all over again.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
The best way is to use archived sales orders. You need to ensure it’s turned on for the future. Go to sales & receivables setup and there is a section for archiving. Follow these steps if the archive exists: docs.microsoft.com/.../across-how-to-archive-documents
If you don’t have that you’re relying on a database backup potentially. If it’s a warehouse shipment you won’t have any customer detail but the rest should be there. You’ll need manual number series enabled to key it in manually
