Contact Permision / Visibility for ALL users in Org.

When creating a contact, we typically assign the contact to a User so to make that user the Owner of the record.  However when we do that, other Users are NOT able to see that contact on their tablets when mobile.  For example, we want a User to be able to pull up an Account, and then open ALL contacts associated with that account regardless who is the owner.  Currently, if somone goes to an account when they are mobile, the only contacts the user can see is the contacts they are Owner of.

 

Help please??!

    Hi,

    You can provide read privilege in Organization level for that entity in the security role.

    Hi Courtney,

    You are right.

    Once you assign a record, then the ownership would change.

    If you want to keep the ownership you need to Share, NOT Assign.

    But as long as you have set the correct security role to the users (more than a User level) then you should be able to see the records.

    Just maybe if you can only see your own record, means that the users selected the My Contact record view only.

    In your CRM tablet, Try to change the view if possible.
