How to add a standard entity in export of Data Management

Hello,

I'm new to Asset Management in D365 F&O.

In order to have an import/export testing, I tried to export existing assets data into Excel.

My target entity is EntAssetMaintenanceAssetEntity and this can be found in the Data entities page.

As this entity was not found in the export page of Data Management, I refreshed entity list by clicking the yellow button below.

However, I still cannot find the entity in the import / export menu.

Does anyone know how to add this entity in the list of import / export menu?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi Michael Shown,

Click on "Data entities" and do you see the entity 'Asset management assets' there?

If this is available, what is the configuration key status is showing?

Also check if this is hidden by any chance which I marked in red above?

    Regards,
    Sourav

    Hi Sourav,

I am facing the same issue (on a new demo env 10.0.38 & older environment 10.0.37)
    •  I have refreshed the data entities.
    •  The entity is available in the Data entities list.
    •  The entity is not hidden.
    •  And the configuration key shows as per your screenshot below.

All seems fine, but the entity is not available for export / import?

    Any other suggestions?

@Michael - could you resolve your issue?

    Regards,

    Hy,

when you add the "obsolete" column in the Data entiy overview form you can see the obsolete ones.

You can also use entity research tool I've shared with the community.

    Hope this helps.

    Herzliche Grüße / kind regards,

    Hi Michael,

Few reasons why the issue has cropped up are as mentioned below:
    1. Configuration Key - EntAsset (Has it been enabled against the entity name)?
    2. If you added any customizations then is your project where you added the customizations to been built? If there are errors in the data entity, then the entity will not be published successfully.
    3. If this entity has been deployed to a higher environment from a lower environment (after development, if any) then has it been deployed successfully?

    Questions:
    1. Have you added any virtual fields or computed columns in your entity (as an extension etc.)?
