I need some help with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
In the General Journals, we have the Preview Posting option which shows the final entries after applying allocation accounts.
My requirement is to get this preview posting data in Excel via OData/API, including the allocation splits.
As per my understanding, this preview data is generated using temporary tables and is not stored, so I’m not able to access it through OData. I also tried a POC to capture it, but couldn’t achieve the expected result.
Has anyone done this before or knows how we can:
- Access preview posting data via API/OData, or
- Capture and store it to use in Excel?
Any guidance would really help.
