Workflow Not firing

Just wondering if any one else has come across this

I have a custom entity with a two option field new_sendReport.

I have created a custom workflow to fire when new_sendreport is changed to a yes value. The workflow doesn't fire, however if i set the workflow as a 'on request' and click run workflow, if the new_sendmail is yes the workflow fires.

I'm sure to be missing something simple but am clueless as to what , any ideas?

Are you saving the record? Are you making sure you actually have it triggered on-change, and not just "yes" as a check condition on the workflow? Make sure the field itself is set to start the workflow.

I am saving the record. I have now created a simple test .. I have ' options for automatic process' set record fields change ( selected new_sendReport

1 workflow condition if new_sendreport = yes

2 send email

nothing happens on change of new_sendreport value to yes ( and saved )

Are you creating the record at the same time? You migth have to also add an "Oncreate" condition to when the workflow triggers.

Hello,

How do you change that field new_sendreport? Manually from CRM interface saving changes or in some other way?

No, in this instance the record already exists, all I am doing is editing the record, changing the new_sendreport to yes and then saving the record
