When I click Where used on a BOM, I get this message.
What does this mean?
The production BOM 87387 has a circular reference. Pay attention to the production BOM 87387 that closes the loop.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Please Inspect the BOM for item 87387: Check whether this item is mistakenly listed as one of its own components. If it is, remove it to break the circular reference.

    Thanks
    Ramesh

OK, that is the issue, and what I thought it was, but the manufacturing team claimed that they were able to do it before. Thank you.

    Hello,

The message "The production BOM 87387 has a circular reference" means that there is a loop in your Bill of Materials (BOM) structure. This happens when a BOM item is indirectly or directly included in its own BOM, creating an infinite loop. For example, if item A includes item B, and item B includes item A, it creates a circular reference.

To resolve this, you need to review and correct the BOM structure to ensure that no item is part of its own BOM, either directly or through other items. This will prevent the circular reference and allow you to use the "Where used" feature without issues.
