Hi Everyone,

I have deployed some SSRS reports from Dev CRM to Test CRM environment. All these reports were working fine in Dev but it is getting grayed out in Test CRM environment for some users. I have 2 Ids, 1 is admin Id for the server and another 1 is normal CRM id with Administrator role. My 1st id has permission to login remotely to test server and that user not facing any issue in running report but for 2nd user i am facing above issue.

This report is a pre filter report. Kindly help me to solve this issue.

Any help will highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Manish

Can you clarify what you mean by "it is getting grayed out"? Is the report name disabled in the list of reports to run? Or can you open the report but bot run it? Or does it run, but the results are not shown properly?

Thanks for your reply Adam. Report is opening but all the filters are getting grayed out(Disabled) and no data is coming in report based on the default selected value in Filters.

I believe it could be Report Server access issue.

I had the same problem and solved by change the internet explorer  security settings. When the user has in  trusted sites the CRM url and the security level was medium, was necessary change to medium-low and the report filter was enabled for select.

    Hello ,

The Second User who sees the reports as grayed out should have right privileges to access the reports or Run reports which might be causing the problem.

    Thank you

Hi, I'm sure the moment's gone on this now but I've just experienced a very similar issue with 2011 on-premises and for the benefit of anyone else who stumbles across this thread perhaps this will help?

My issue was that following a switchover to IFD one user could no longer view any system or custom reports (report parameters "greyed out") whereas other users with exactly the same security privileges had no issue.

It transpired that the issue was actually because this one user was disabled in her "default organisation".  We have two organisations and this user, following the creation of her AD account was then added first to the other org, thus setting it as her default org, then deactivated at some point thereafter. Wasn't a problem until we set up IFD.

Different symptoms of the same issue but much better explanation is here: blogs.msdn.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011-unable-to-run-any-reports-due-to-missing-security-role-in-default-organization.aspx

    Thanks

    Alex
